INCUBATOR
for (very) small social ventures
The INCUBATOR for very small social ventures is a development program for anyone who is self-employed (or wants to be!) or is running a small business, to investigate the service provider opportunities arising from the new National Disability Insurance Scheme. Whether you have an existing venture, or it's still just an idea, the INCUBATOR Program will help you develop a business model that works for you.
Are you ready to take on the challenge?

How is the program structured?
The INCUBATOR Program comprises eight half-day sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of your preparation to become an NDIS Service Provider.
The first two sessions cover the REGISTRATION OPTIONS, PROCESSES & OBLIGATIONS for NDIS Service Providers. Delivered in one full-day workshop, this event is perfect if you are seriously considering registering as an NDIS provider but have struggled to find the time to work through all of the documentation and processes.
Sessions three through eight comprise the SMALL VENTURE BUSINESS MODEL DESIGN component of the program. You will be taken through all the elements of developing or refining your business model, understanding and reaching out to your potential customers, and exploring a feasible and sustainable financial model.
You are welcome to undertake the parts of the program that best suit your needs.

INCUBATOR PROGRAM - AT A GLANCE
WHO
Anyone who wants to explore the self-employment opportunities to provide NDIS services and supports in areas such as support coordination, plan management, home care, accessing employment, transport, assistive technology, social participation, and more
Existing small business owners thinking about expanding into NDIS
Allied health professionals looking to setup a private practice offering NDIS services
People with a lived experience of a disability or mental health condition who want to be self employed and assist other people with a disability
WHAT
A business development program, with a specific focus on preparing sole-trading or very small business owners to provide supports and services under the NDIS.
WHY
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides an opportunity for people with a disability to have choice and control over the supports they access to enhance their lives.
Having real choice over supports, products and services requires a vibrant selection of local service providers - business owners who are actively seeking to offer and deliver personalised and easily accessible services within their customers' community.
Big organisations will be trying to meet this need but, as a small provider, you will have more ability to respond to specific customer needs. This is your opportunity to specialise both in your area of expertise, and in your local community.
